Daily Hitori
The rule
No number twice unshaded in a line, no two shaded cells touching, and the rest all joined up.
Shade cells until no number appears more than once unshaded in any row or any column. That part is bookkeeping.
Two shaded cells may never touch side to side, and every unshaded cell must stay connected to every other one through unshaded cells. Those two rules are what turn it into a puzzle, because plenty of shadings clear the repeats and then cut the grid in half.
Two useful openings. Three of the same number in a line: the middle one stays, the outer two go. And a number repeated with exactly one cell between the two copies: that middle cell stays, because shading it would save both copies.
Controls
Click a cell to shade it. Click again to ring it as one you are keeping, and once more to clear the mark. Shift click or right click goes round the other way. Progress saves in this browser as you go, so you can come back to the same puzzle later today.
Solvable Without Guessing
Every puzzle here was generated and then handed to a solver that is only allowed techniques a person can use. If it could not finish the grid without a guess, the puzzle was thrown away rather than published. That also makes the answer unique, because every step it took was forced.
