Daily Minesweeper
The rule
Flag every mine. The numbers count the mines touching them.
The board is dealt face up. Every number you are going to get is already on the grid, and the mines are all in the blank squares.
A number counts the mines in the eight squares around it, diagonals included. The total still to find is shown above the board.
Nothing is hidden behind a click here, so there is no opening guess and no coin flip at the end. Every one of these was checked to have a single possible minefield that counting alone will find.
Controls
Click a blank square to flag a mine. Click again to mark it clear, and once more to empty it. Shift click or right click goes round the other way. Progress saves in this browser as you go, so you can come back to the same puzzle later today.
Solvable Without Guessing
Every puzzle here was generated and then handed to a solver that is only allowed techniques a person can use. If it could not finish the grid without a guess, the puzzle was thrown away rather than published. That also makes the answer unique, because every step it took was forced.
More to Play
