Most mechanical puzzles are anonymous. These are not. Every puzzle in this collection has a documented history - an IPP exchange, a design award, a world debut, or a vote by the people who solve more puzzles than anyone else.

The International Puzzle Party is an invitation-only annual gathering where collectors exchange brand-new designs that have never been produced before. An exchange puzzle is, by definition, something almost nobody owns. Several of them are here.

The pedigree

MINIMA Slider by Frederic Boucher had its world debut at Greg Puzzles and was Greg's exchange puzzle at the 2026 Assisi IPP. Microma was Andreas Roever's exchange puzzle.

Identical Twins by Osanori Yamamoto won a puzzlers' award at IPP37 and sits in the Mechanical Puzzle Discord's top three Osanori designs. Lucida was voted number one.

Three-Piece Block and the 6-Piece Star come from Stewart Coffin, the most influential designer the field has produced. Shrinking Soma and BonBon are the expert-level designs their makers are known for.

Collectors who track designers rather than shapes. Puzzlers who already own the classics and want something with provenance. Anyone buying a gift for a serious solver who appears to own everything already.
