Tower Of Hanoi is a classic mechanical puzzle invented back in 1883 in france by the mathematician Edouard Lucas.
The idea originated from a legend of about a Hindu temple where priests are transferring 64 golden disks, a task that would take 585 billion years to complete at a pace of one move per second! Coincidentally, 585 billion years is 42 times the current estimiate age of our universe, according to science.
The goal of the puzzle is to move the whole stack of disks from one rod to another, with 3 rules:
- Only one disk can move at a time
- Each move consists of taking a disk and moving it to another rod or stack
- A disk can only be placed on top of an empty rod or a bigger disk.
Our version comes with 7 disks, so once you understand how it works, it can totally be conquered.
Also, the rods are detachable, which allows for an easy travel mode.
This puzzle greatly develops mind-muscle connection, mathematical and logical thinking as well as perseverance for boys. Don't worry - it is also a fun challenge for adults. You really can't go wrong with this puzzle as a gift!
Size: 150 x 52 x 42 mm
