Pack a Chain Flush in the Box
Chain Store is a packing puzzle designed by Goh Pit Khiam. Your goal is simple to state: take a chain of five identical linked pieces and pack it flush into the box. No hidden mechanisms, no trick releases, no shortcuts.
Well - it sounds straightforward. But the chain changes everything.
Because the pieces are linked together and cannot be separated, you can't just place them one at a time. Move one link and you move the whole chain. Try to fold it one way and the geometry fights you. Every adjustment you make to fit one section creates a new problem somewhere else. The chain's limits are real - and figuring out exactly how to work within them is where the puzzle lives.
Pure spatial reasoning. No luck involved.

Best For
- Solvers who love finding the missing link in a puzzle
- Chain-of-logic thinkers who prefer geometry over gimmicks
- The person who says "I can figure this out" and then discovers they cannot
- Puzzlers who like their brain teasers linked, locked, and layered
- Anyone drawn to constrained packing problems where the constraint is built into the object itself
- A clean desk gift for the engineer or designer who thinks spatially
How It Works
The five pieces are identical in shape and permanently linked in sequence - like a physical chain. The box is sized to fit them exactly when packed correctly. There is one solution. The challenge is that you cannot manipulate the pieces independently. The chain bends, but only so much. It folds, but only in certain ways. You have to find the configuration that respects every link at once.
There are no tricks. The puzzle is entirely about understanding the geometry of the chain and the volume of the box. When it clicks, it clicks cleanly - and you will know immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the chain be taken apart?
No. The five links are permanently connected. The puzzle is solved with the chain intact.
Is there more than one solution?
No. There is one correct configuration that packs the chain flush into the box.
How difficult is it?
More difficult than the premise suggests. The constraint of the linked pieces makes spatial trial-and-error much harder than a standard loose-piece packing puzzle. Expect a real challenge.
Who designed Chain Store?

FAQ
Do You Ship Worldwide?
Yes. I ship anywhere. Orders typically arrive in 1-3 weeks depending on your location and how customs is behaving.
How Long Does Processing Take?
Some puzzles are produced on demand in our studio in Czech Republic. Processing usually takes 3-5 days before your order ships. During busier seasons it may take a bit longer.
Do Puzzles Come With Solutions?
Usually not. Sometimes you can find the solution on my YouTube channel. If not, feel free to reach out for hints!
What If I Get Stuck?
Good. That's the whole point.
But if "stuck" turns into "frustrated and not having fun anymore," email me. I'll send you a hint if you want a nudge. No judgment. Some puzzles took me days. A few took weeks. Some took months. Some took years. And some I have never solved - and that is part of the appeal.
Returns & Exchanges
Yes. You have 30 days. If the puzzle isn't right for you, send it back in the condition you got it and I'll refund you. If something arrived damaged or wrong, tell me and I'll fix it. Please be patient as we're a small team!
Are These Good Gifts?
People LOVE buying our puzzles as gifts. They're physical, they last forever, they don't need batteries, and they create a real moment - the person sits down, struggles, laughs, eventually solves it. That memory sticks.
If you're gifting, check the difficulty rating and pick something one notch below what you think the person can handle. Easier than you'd guess is usually the right call.
How Are the Puzzles Made?
All the puzzles are made with the help of my partner Puzzle Guy and his 3D printing studio in Czech Republic.
What Is a TIC Puzzle?
TIC stands for Turning Interlocking Cubes. They're a family of puzzles where wooden pieces interlock and rotate into a cube shape. The solve isn't just sliding pieces - you have to find the right rotations, in the right order. They're some of my favorite puzzles in the store.
Why Is Everything Turquoise?
I grew up near the sea in Israel. When life got loud or overwhelming, that's where I went to reset. Sit, watch the water, breathe. Things would settle.
The turquoise on this site isn't a branding choice I picked from a swatch. It's that color. The one I still see when I close my eyes and think of the place that calmed me down. I want you to feel a small version of that when you pick up a puzzle - a quiet moment, hands busy, head clear.
